Installing a swimming pool can cost a lot of money when it comes to hiring a swimming pool company. This guy decided to attempt it himself, with a bit of a twist.
This is what his backyard looked like in March of 2011.
The excavator finally showed up.
He then installed the water conduit for the fountain. They all lead to the garage.
His daughter was even helping.
He then placed the felt onto the future pond.
He then ordered all the materials and parts.

He put a huge plastic foil cover on top of the felt.
He then installed the filter system in the garage by circulating the water through these barrels.
He then filled the pond with quite a few rocks. It took 5 guys about 8 hours to lay them all.

Time to finally fill it with water. He also installed 2 spotlights.
But he isn’t done yet!
Time to install the patio.
The right hand area will be for the rest of the patio.

What an amazing transformation of an entire backyard. I am super jealous of this and I may have found my summer project this year.
