The buildings and places below look like they have been hit hard by a tornado, but when you look closer, you’ll be very surprised. Artist John Pugh is world-famous for creating incredible wall murals that give the illusion of a three-dimensional scene behind the wall the art is painted on. Pugh has been creating his murals since the late 1970s and his particular mural style sparked the term known as “Narrative Illusionism”. Check out some of his incredible creations below:
This looks like an explosion happened and like the columns are holding up the ceiling.

Did a wrecking ball go through this building?

It’d be interesting to see what the entire building looks like since the art definitely gets your attention.

Wait, so that cat isn’t real?

John Pugh definitely has a talent and it’s great to see that he’s using it and also sharing it with the public.

This would definitely catch you off guard if you weren’t paying attention to your surroundings.

This would be a great mural in New Orleans.

This dog is definitely a little confused. Good thing it’s just a painting of a dog.

The shadows and everything really make this look incredibly real.

The wall is just peeling apart.

I thought this was a real reflection on this building.

But then I saw this picture, and I realized that it was a painting.

John Pugh really has a talent when it comes to 3D paintings and Narrative Illusionism. It’s so amazing that he found this talent, and decided to share it with the public. It’s also great that businesses will allow him to paint the side of their building rather than having it covered with graffiti that nobody wants to see.
