Girls and their shoes. If you’ve ever been in a relationship, you know how attached they can get to something they walk around in. So when something happens to those special set of shoes that they just can’t live without, things can get a little out of hand. Well that’s what happened to this young man. He was out in his workshop when he heard a cry from his girlfriend. Fearing the worst, he rushed inside. What greeted him inside is something that every boyfriend fears… a crying girlfriend.
He ran into the house to find his girlfriend holding a chewed up shoe, and his dog looking as guilty as possible.

The victim of the dogs attack was a pair of $500 Kurt Geiger stilettos. Why anyone would pay $500 for shoes is beyond me, but that’s besides the point.

He quickly grabbed them and brought them out to his workshop, but the damage was already done.

He patched the hole with leather, but that wasn’t going to be enough.

He added a curved stainless steel plate to cover the damaged part.

He added some brass to add a little bit of color and style to the shoe.

More brass on the heel, this helped cover more of the damage and made the whole thing cohesive.

The damage is all covered, but he wasn’t quite done with the shoe yet.

He decided he wanted to add some embellishment to the front of the shoe as well. This is the original design, but he didn’t quite like the bulkiness.

He painted the shoe black, and came up with a new, more streamlined design for the front.

The sharp part in the back is actually removable, which is probably for the best.

Though I don’t know how many girls would even think about wearing these.

These are definitely some custom, one of a kind shoes. I’m not sure if his girlfriend will ever wear them, but at least he tried to fix them… “fix” being a very loose term in this instance. This story just reinforces why I will never spend an inordinate amount of money on shoes. Things like this happen all to often.
