Every week, two students, who can’t be named, create beautiful pieces of art on campus. The two friends are advertising and graphic design seniors who get a little bored sitting in the class room.
The two complete each masterpiece in one long attempt, which can take up to 11 hours, usually working on Sunday or Monday nights in a vacant classroom. They choose a quote from a list compiled from Google searches and suggestions from friends, draw up a rough sketch, and then get to work using regular chalk, from the dollar store.
Take a look at their work. It’s easy to pick up on the duo’s love of typography. “Every time we do it we try to make it look different from the last one,” they said. “We try to adopt the style of whomever we’re quoting.”

Some of the work will take them at least 11 hours to complete.

They take the time to try to portray the person they are quoting.

Imagine creating this out just chalk.

They find quotes using search engines, requests from students, and friends.

How amazing to see in person, pictures do not do the justice.

The duo goes by the name dangerdust.

It’s easy to pick up on the pair’s love of typography.

They also only use Dollar Store chalk… cheap!

After graduation, I hope these artists do not stop their work.

I would love to see more of their work.

Each design is unique and unlike any other.

You can see more of their work on their Twitter and Instagram

I think they do an amazing job at capturing the person who said the quote. The detail, the time, the dedication it took to create each one of these is mind-boggling. They are truly talented and I am sure the school will be sad once these students graduate.
