People love the circus and have for a very long time. But one thing people haven’t loved is the cruelty that animals has to go through to put on the show. Luckily, one German circus has phased out its use of live animals and replaced them with holograms so that no animals are harmed.
Circus Roncalli stopped using wild animals in the 90’s to focus on only using domestic and recently decided to start using holograms to stop animal cruelty.

The animal holograms actually give a larger than life experience.

Trapeze artist and clowns still exist and perform alongside the holograms just like normal.

Roncalli Circus wanted to create 3D holographic images from projectors while filling the arena measuring 32 meters (105 feet) wide and 5 meters (16 feet) deep with 360° visibility for the entire audience.

Check out these hologram animals in the video below. It’s pretty awesome.

Birger Wunderlich at Bluebox said, “We have been using Optoma projectors for 6 years and have consistently had a very positive experience in price, performance, and reliability. We needed a high contrast projector with great colors for the 3D effect and the ZU850’s 2,000,000:1 contrast is perfect for this project.”
