The girl in these pictures is Tippi Benjamine Okanti Degré. She was born in 1990 and spent her childhood in Namibia. Her childhood isn’t typical though, she didn’t play barbies or hopscotch, Tippi grew up alongside wild animals like cheetahs and lions. She was born in Namibia to French wildlife photography parents and grew up in Africa. Tippi is now 23 years old, and the only child to animal photography parents Sylvie Robert and Alain Degre, who published her photos in a book called Tippi of Africa. “It was magical to be able to be free in this nature with this child. She was a fortunate little girl – she was born and raised until the age of 10 totally in the wild.” said Sylvie.
Her childhood was stunning:

Tippi grew up among the wildlife, it was normal to her.

The animals that surrounded her were her best friends.

It’s like a real life Mowgli from the Jungle Book.

Not only did she love the animals, but they loved her as well.

Her childhood is one of a kind.

A true blessing.

And she loved every minute of it.

What an amazing journey Tippi had growing up. I am envious at everything she got to experience. You can read more about it in her book here. She now believes she has a special talent of talking to animals and a love for them that not a lot of people can understand.
