Have you ever seen an abandoned building and become instantly curious about what could be inside? If you have even the slightest amount of curiosity, your mind is going to wander and make up scenarios about the multitude of things this abandoned structure could hold. Some people love the feeling and excitement of this so much, they dedicate their free time to exploring these vacated premises. Others have even made a career out of unveiling the mysteries these old, rotting buildings and compounds hold inside. There are Youtube channels solely devoted to people who consider this more than a hobby. Watching the videos can be exciting in itself. You never know what these people will find next, and believe me there are some AMAZING finds that occur in these shells of civilization. That’s what makes this video so interesting, and even a little creepy. Youtube user Adamthewoo is a man who loves a good abandoned building. He decided to team up with Youtube user The Carpetbagger and explore an area in the middle of the desert. What they found will send chills through your entire body, and will lead to a lot of questions. Few of which will have answers.
This is a broad look at the compound these two urban explorers found. It isn’t very big, but holds quite a bit in a small area. It definitely looks like its been abandoned for some time. That rocket type object on top of that wood structure is very weird though.
After walking around for a minute, they took a peek inside one of the buildings and discovered something pretty horrific. It was a homemade electric chair! The video took on a whole new vibe after they found this thing. It went from a simple exploration to “We might not want to be here” really quick.
The chair had straps attached to the wooden frame, and they were definitely used to tie people down to the chair There is a head-piece sitting in the chair that you can slightly see. It looks like it was used to administer the electric shock. This place definitely gives off the serial killer hangout type of vibe most people would have run from immediately.
This is the circuit board that the headset is attached too. It is broken now, but at one time it could have been used to send an electric current to the headset, causing a painful shock to the unfortunate victim. Secret government torture is what first comes to my mind when I see this. However, I feel they would have chosen a better location and had more elaborate equipment.
This control unit of some kind was found outside the building with the chair inside. In the video they refer to it as “alien”, that seems pretty far-fetched though. It is clearly man-made and had some purpose that someone could figure out with enough time. It was possibly used to control the surveillance system for the compound if it was ever actually inhabited.
They walked around the compound a little bit more and found another building they decided to investigate. it’s definitely taken a beating and looks like it could collapse at any moment.
Family pictures were scattered around the inside of this particular structure. This supports the credence that this place was once inhabited. The question then becomes…what happened to all the people?
At one point in the video, the explorers noticed some white streaks in the sky across the desert. They determined that these were rocket launches being conducted. By whom though?
The weird thing is, a tall wooden structure in the deserted prison had an object on the top that looked suspiciously like a rocket. Could there be a connection between the rockets off in the distance and this object that looks oddly like one?

This whole situation seems very odd. What looks like a prison out in the middle of nowhere, but no identifying marks of any kind to indicate people knew about it. Then there is the homemade electric chair. I’ve written quite a few stories about urban exploration, and that is probably the strangest object I’ve seen anyone come across. The weirdness doesn’t end there however. You then have the rockets off the in the distance, and something that looks like it could be a rocket right in the middle of this abandoned place. This could all be nothing. On the original poster’s Youtube channel, some people have claimed it looks like the location for a low-budget movie. I like to believe there is more to it than that though. That’s part of the fun isn’t it?
