In the United States alone, there are approximately 135,000 children that are adopted every year. I’m sure every single one of those have their own personal story to tell.
But one five-year-old wanted to share this special moment with all of his classmates. He invited his entire kindergarten class to his adoption hearing at the Kent County courthouse in Michigan.
This picture says it all. Michael Orlando Clark Jr was excited to have all of his classmates surrounding him as he was adopted by his forever family.
His classmates cheered.
Each of the classmates held big red hearts on wooden sticks to celebrate.
And obviously, it pulled on the heartstrings of the internet as well as shown in the comments below.

Even the Michigan Supreme Court took to Twitter to congratulate the family, writing: “So glad he got to share his special day! #AdoptionEqualsLove”.
